About the Role

This New York City-based intern will support the Schumacher Hospitality brand's efforts to grow its strong brand position within the Hospitality and Contract sectors. The role involves responsibilities in sampling, sales and marketing initiatives, and order processing.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Design Consultant and Project Manager teams to support clients.
  • Process memo orders and project shops for the Hospitality team.
  • Cut and label custom Hospitality fabrics and wallcoverings for designer approval.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to execute key initiatives and tasks for the department's growth.
  • Assist with operations and logistical tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or hold a bachelor's degree and have a competitive GPA.
  • A successful multi-tasker who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be both collaborative and self-sufficient to meet and exceed needs of business.
  • A great interest (passion preferred) for interior design and creative.
  • Knowledgeable and/or interested in textiles and wallcoverings and hospitality markets.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Quick comprehension of online software.
  • A self-motivated, proactive, fearless and positive attitude.
  • Eager to be a team player and learn along the way.
