About the Role

As a co-op student, you will work on meaningful projects that support our operations and give you hands-on experience in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. Join S&C to make an impact on tomorrow’s energy challenges!

Responsibilities

  • Approval of finished products for shipment involving visual verification, mechanical inspection and electrical testing
  • Calibration of mechanical and electrical instrument measuring equipment
  • Participate, when necessary, in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Read and interpret part and assembly drawings
  • Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
  • Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
  • Collect and summarize quality reports monthly
  • Verifying and measuring incoming parts that are flagged for inspection to make sure company standards are met and specifications are matched against engineering drawings
  • Working with the team on calibrating shop equipment

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Enrolled and eligible to work a 4 Month co-op term starting in Fall 2026
  • A team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen interest in design and manufacturing
  • Some manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
