About the Role

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Superintendent to work on various hospitality-focused projects throughout NYC.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains accurate project status reports.
• Manages timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews project status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives regularly.
• Ensures implementation and adherence to safety standards and requirements by craftsmen and others.
• Directs subcontractor activities within ground-up residential projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material, and equipment requirements, interfacing with others as designated.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and work rules established by field construction management.
• Prepares reports and forecasts as required, keeping supervisors informed of assigned activities' progress.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to, and that tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Requirements

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• High-end amenities experience is a significant plus.
• Experience should include supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Luxury hotel/boutique project experience is desired.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.
