About the Role

Assists in the onboarding of new client relationships, working with business lines and clients, ensuring compliance with US KYC/AML, FINRA, BSA, SEC, and FATCA regulations. Escalates relevant issues to appropriate teams.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding of US Global Banking and Markets clients efficiently, compliantly, and with a client-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to implement new procedures and regulations, meeting or exceeding internal/external audit standards.
  • Adhere to AML controls, including reviewing high-risk customers, PEP screenings, and standard KYC/AML policies.
  • Update the onboarding platform with new or updated client information.
  • Resolve daily onboarding matters and escalate complex issues for resolution.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of business strategies, policies, risk management, products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years in financial services with recognized expertise in US regulatory frameworks impacting client onboarding (US KYC/AML, Sanctions, FATCA).
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, a related field, compliance, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic understanding of banking and capital markets business.
  • Client-centric approach to the role.
  • Ability to work outside traditional business hours when necessary.
  • Capacity to operate effectively in a stressful environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, project management, and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of businesses, products, operations, systems, and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
