About the Role

SYSTRA Canada is seeking Geotechnical Designers for Transit Projects in Ontario. This role involves providing technical services for environmental site assessments and excess soil management, designing foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks, and conducting site investigations and soil sampling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 requirements
  • Provide technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406/19 requirements
  • Design foundations, retaining structures, and earthworks
  • Conduct site investigations and soil sampling
  • Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions
  • Perform geotechnical analysis and interpret data
  • Complete peer reviews of technical documents and reports
  • Draw on technical skills and expertise to design, install, and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems
  • Prepare scopes and reports
  • Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff
  • Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries

Requirements

  • P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required
  • Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19
