About the Role

Airtable is seeking a talented senior design leader to guide the transformation of its platform into an AI-native experience, focusing on automating overlooked workflows and creating new, intuitive user interfaces. The role involves shaping the strategic vision and executing design for complex, multi-step experiences that feel simple, while empowering users with meaningful control.

Responsibilities

• Craft exceptional and intuitive user experiences.
• Elevate critical Airtable workflows with a high bar for design quality.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of Airtable as an AI-native platform.
• Shape the broader arc of Airtable's growth and integration of AI capabilities.
• Build and prototype in code using tools like Cursor, Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Gather customer feedback through direct conversations and interviews.
• Contribute to team critiques and collaborative design sessions.
• Help evolve the design team's culture and working methods, including AI-assisted operations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• A portfolio showcasing thoughtful, impactful work.
• Experience with AI, SaaS, or zero-to-one projects is a bonus.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and novel problem spaces.
• Proficiency in sketching, detailed interaction design, and working prototypes.
• Curiosity about emerging tools and new interaction patterns.
• Ability to make people around you better through collaboration and respect.
