About the Role
The Events and Marketing Coordinator will support the planning and execution of Nelson’s events, webinars, campaigns, and marketing activities. This role involves coordinating event logistics, supporting campaign setup, updating marketing materials, and managing projects across the team. It is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented individual eager to gain experience in events, campaigns, and marketing operations.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and coordination for in-person events, conferences, webinars, customer sessions, and internal meetings.
- Manage event details including registration lists, calendars, speaker information, shipping, signage, materials, and follow-up tasks.
- Assist with webinar setup, including registration pages, confirmation emails, reminder emails, attendee lists, and post-event follow-up.
- Support email and campaign execution, including building, testing, proofing, scheduling, and list coordination.
- Update marketing materials such as one-pagers, event handouts, Sales resources, presentations, and campaign assets.
- Coordinate print and digital material requests for events, campaigns, Sales, and customer-facing teams.
- Manage promotional materials, inventory, shipping, and event supplies.
- Maintain organized files, project trackers, event checklists, timelines, and campaign documentation.
- Support basic reporting by pulling registration, attendance, email, and campaign performance information.
- Assist with project updates in Jira or other project management tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to gather information, assets, links, approvals, and deadlines.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support for marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in marketing, communications, business, events, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in marketing, events, communications, administration, customer service, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn marketing tools, systems, and processes.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, email, calendars, and shared documents.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Salesforce, Pardot, Jira, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting events, webinars, school activities, volunteer programs, clubs, or customer-facing work is considered an asset.
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to jump in where needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to support occasional event setup, travel, or off-site event coordination as required.
