About the Role

The Equity Primary Markets team attracts companies globally to list and trade equity securities on London Stock Exchange markets, supports existing issuers, and builds relationships with key partners. The role focuses on attracting companies from the Americas to list on the London Stock Exchange, including the Main Market, AIM, and the Private Securities Market (PSM).

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a portfolio of company leads, establishing and maintaining relationships at owner, executive management, and board levels.
  • Implement client communication and contact plans for potential listing candidates, existing issuers, and the advisory community.
  • Develop a strategic understanding of clients' businesses and sectors, feeding insights back to in-house product and service teams.
  • Represent LSEG by speaking at seminars, conferences, and client forums to promote the company and develop new client relationships.
  • Build constructive links with other LSEG businesses to maximize interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Contribute to the design of Capital Markets' marketing strategy and define targeted marketing and digital campaigns across the Americas.
  • Prioritize business development and marketing activities based on business and operational needs.
  • Exercise management responsibilities over junior members of the Primary Markets Americas team, including skills development, objective setting, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience and proven relationships at corporate and founder/institutional shareholder level across the Americas region.
  • 5+ years of experience in equity capital markets or a corporate finance related business development or relationship management role.
  • Good understanding of LSEG’s core markets and business areas.
  • Proven success in a relationship management or business development role, or ability to demonstrate this.
  • Ability to create rapport with senior executives across a wide range of corporates/advisors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of client business from both a commercial and strategic perspective.
  • Experienced public speaker able to present to small and large groups.
  • Experience managing and developing junior staff.
  • Understanding of using AI in an applied manner within appropriate ethical, legal, and commercial boundaries.
  • Comfort using social media for content promotion and business development within LSEG policies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Americas region on a regular basis.
  • Flexibility in relation to working hours.
