About the Role
The Community Assistant promotes leasing and occupancy goals while enhancing resident satisfaction by acting as a liaison between residents and staff. This role requires embracing CWS core values and prioritizing the health, well-being, and safety of all individuals.
Responsibilities
- Promote leasing and occupancy goals.
- Enhance resident satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between residents and staff.
- Embrace and demonstrate CWS core values daily.
- Make safety a top priority in all business activities.
- Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
- Walk units to confirm readiness.
- Review leases and issue keys, gate cards, etc.
- Establish and maintain rapport with residents.
- Plan and implement social events for residents.
- Assist residents with issues or conflicts.
- Participate in the on-call program for after-hours resident emergencies.
- Participate in weekly staff marketing meetings.
- Actively participate in the annual and semi-annual turn process.
- Assist with marketing needs of the community.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Assist with maintaining resident files and entering resident information into the database.
- Attend and participate in regular CWS safety meetings.
- Adhere to key control policy.
Requirements
- General knowledge of student housing property management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to adhere to a set and variable work schedule, including weekends and emergencies.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere.
- Own a valid driver’s license with good driving record and current automobile insurance.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic internet, word processing, and spreadsheet skills.
- Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than home property.
- Able to travel within major metropolitan area and may be required to attend company functions in other cities.
- Must be an enrolled, degree-seeking student.
- Must have a current lease onsite or secure a lease no later than the next applicable lease term.
