About the Role

The Data Analyst supports the delivery of workforce intelligence, reporting accuracy, and operational data integrity across Career Ready and related workforce development initiatives. This role maintains dashboards, ensures data quality, supports anomaly detection and governance protocols, and prepares structured reporting outputs, playing a key role in enabling real-time performance visibility as TECHNATION’s Career Ready Program scales up its operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update automated dashboards tracking placements, employer engagement, inclusion metrics, AI-aligned roles, and regional distribution
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting drafts for review by the Senior Data Analyst
  • Conduct routine data validation checks to ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support structured KPI tracking across Career Ready programming
  • Monitor data consistency across CR databases, LMS systems, employer tracking tools, and related platforms
  • Identify discrepancies, missing data, and irregular patterns
  • Collaborate with Operations and Program teams to resolve data integrity issues
  • Maintain documentation of reporting definitions, data sources, and tracker structures
  • Flag irregular submission patterns or potential fraud indicators
  • Support dashboard monitoring related to risk thresholds
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation integrity
  • Contribute to maintaining secure, role-based data access practices
  • Assist in data gathering and comparative analysis during LMI vendor evaluation
  • Support integration of LMI insights into reporting dashboards
  • Prepare summaries of labour market trends under direction of Senior Data Analyst
  • Maintain datasets used for AI-focused placement analysis
  • Support staff with report interpretation and dashboard navigation
  • Contribute to the development of reporting templates and tracker improvements
  • Assist in process optimization to reduce manual reporting burdens

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and/or certifications in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or alike
  • 3+ years of experience working in similar role
  • Microsoft Power BI and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of ‘future of work’ concepts and LMI
  • Creativity and ‘outside of the box’ thinking
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to perform independently in a remote work environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Periodic travel within Canada will be required for meetings, conferences, etc.
