About the Role

Assists in the onboarding of new client relationships, working with business lines and clients, ensuring compliance with US KYC/AML, FINRA, BSA, SEC, FATCA, and other relevant regulations. Escalates KYC, AML, and Sanctions related issues to appropriate teams.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the regulatory onboarding of US Global Banking and Markets clients efficiently, compliantly, and with a client-centric approach.
  • Resolve day-to-day matters for US regulatory onboarding operations teams, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of the Bank’s and Division’s business strategies, policies, risk management, products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to AML controls, including reviewing high-risk customers, PEP screenings, and standard KYC/AML policies.
  • Develop and report KYC metrics, and prepare management reports for stakeholder meetings.
  • Collaborate with business line management to develop processes and procedures for the business line AML Program, including customer onboarding, refresh, and name scanning.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to implement new procedures and regulations to meet and exceed internal/external audit standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years in financial services with recognized expertise in US KYC/AML (BSA, PATRIOT Act, FINRA Rules) and FATCA.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business, a related field, compliance, or equivalent experience.
  • Recognized subject matter certifications preferred (CAMS, CGSS, FIS, etc.).
  • Sound understanding of banking and capital markets business with a client-centric approach.
  • Broad knowledge of end-to-end workflows among Front, Middle, and Back Offices.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours from time to time.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a stressful environment with changing priorities and tight timeframes.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, project management, and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of businesses, products, operations, systems, and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
