About the Role

As a Consultant, you will lead client projects, drive business development, and guide teams, empowering clients to bring groundbreaking therapies to patients worldwide. This role is crucial for advancing healthcare by providing critical insights and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on and successfully deliver larger, more complex, and higher-value projects, ensuring they are delivered to plan and provide value for clients.
  • Reassure and satisfy clients as a trusted partner across a portfolio of projects and range of proposition and therapeutic areas.
  • Design projects to address strategic and complex business issues and deliver quality and profitable solutions with an exceptional client experience.
  • Plan, design, and expertly facilitate complex workshops, providing clear strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Independently lead, manage, and develop consulting colleagues through effective communication and feedback.
  • Support personalized development to foster innovation and diverse thinking that adds value for our clients.
  • Build capabilities and behaviors that enable our people to realize their potential.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing accounts to identify catalytic events that could generate new opportunities and proactively pursue leads.
  • Win new business by maintaining relationships with existing and former clients and developing new client contacts.
  • Secure requests for proposals, and lead on proposals and pitches.
  • Promote Solici to enhance strategic decision making and competitive positioning through writing blog articles and attending key events.
  • Develop professional networks, interact with a variety of external stakeholders, and articulate how Solici services and propositions can meet their needs.
  • Contribute to and support internal improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, delivery rate, and profitability of projects.
  • Shape Solici and CHR for the future.
  • Drive innovation and improvement projects that align with CHR’s strategic and cultural goals.
  • Lead your team through change programs.

Requirements

  • Advanced (Masters or PhD) degree with experience in Oncology, Immunology, Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic diseases (CVRM), or Rare diseases.
  • Experienced life sciences consultant with a proven record of successfully managing profitable projects that deliver value for clients.
  • Experience engaging with existing and prospective clients to understand their needs and win new business.
  • Experience leading and developing others to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Experience utilizing industry expertise and acquired knowledge to develop impactful and commercially relevant solutions for clients.
  • Demonstrable capability and achievements are of greater importance than tenure.
  • Balance scientific background with strong commercial astuteness to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence to develop effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Growth mindset to thrive in a complex and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to make an offer of employment is subject to prevailing UK immigration rules.
