About the Role
This role within CI GAM’s Investment Advisory team focuses on bridging portfolio management, sales, and marketing. The Analyst is responsible for developing clear, actionable investment messaging, supporting product positioning, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of investment-related content. The role combines performance analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence with the creation of client- and advisor-facing materials. Acting as a key liaison across teams, the Analyst supports portfolio managers, enhances sales enablement efforts, and helps translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives that drive engagement and sales.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in coordinating and performing work amongst the various portfolio management asset class leads within the group.
- Provide support to a subset of CI portfolio managers, complete research & analysis, performance reporting and service the sales team from an analytics standpoint.
- Create and update content and presentations that clearly explain the people, process and philosophy of various portfolio managers.
- Conceptualize, consolidate, and communicate to the national distribution team the investment strategies being used by portfolio managers in light of current economic and capital markets conditions on a regular basis.
- Act as a liaison between portfolio managers and the sales department to ensure that all pertinent information is being communicated effectively and regularly - answer questions posed by sales team on funds and portfolio managers.
- Assist portfolio managers and the CI sales team in the organization of and preparation for sales and marketing events.
- Analyze and maintain an understanding of competitor products and create competitive analysis pieces that can be used by senior management and Sales & Marketing.
- Assist product and legal in the renewal or enhancement of existing products – AIF, prospectus and other fund filings.
- Input into the communication strategy and documentation regarding portfolio management team changes.
- Pro-actively identify opportunities to positively position CI investment strategies in such a way to increase net sales across regions and distribution channels.
- Perform and interpret fund performance analysis to communicate sources of out/underperformance relative to key competitors and benchmarks, including period commentaries.
- Monitor, analyze and assess market developments and communicate timely updates on these developments and their potential impact on the assigned products.
Requirements
- Must have 2-3 years of financial services experience.
- 3 + years of experience in the mutual fund / investment services industry.
- Use Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook to perform, organize, summarize, present, and distribute analysis and messaging.
- Summarize and simplify large bodies of complex text, audio, and video into manageable yet powerful content pieces for the sales team.
- Manage a large set of often conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Work in cooperation with numerous departments and people to meet deadlines with consistent quality work.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on complex topics to internal clients.
Skills
- Technical knowledge and interest in investment performance measurement and attribution analysis.
- Fundamental knowledge of securities analysis and portfolio management.
- Strong relationship management, communication, and time management skills.
- Strong creative writing skills.
- Fund research tools such as Morningstar Direct to gather pertinent fund related data.

Salary/Compensations
- $55,000 to $95,000
