About the Role

Medcan is seeking an experienced and client-focused Sonographer to join their high-performance clinical team. The role is accountable for the effective delivery of ultrasound procedures during Annual Health Assessments and other services, assisting with patient flow and coordinating with staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization and patient safety protocols, policies and procedures.
• Review patient medical history, evaluate contraindications, obtain patient consent, perform required ultrasound examinations and document findings.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and basic quality control checks.
• Ensure sonography exam results meet facility standards for quality assurance.
• Coordinate with cross functional clinic teams to ensure exceptional service and client experience.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as a sonographer performing examinations such as abdominal exams
• Member of the CMRITO Ultrasound
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Skills

• Breast, transvaginal and transrectal experience an asset
• ARDMS certification

Location

• Downtown Toronto

Work Type

• Part-time
• 20 hours weekly
• Occasional Saturday coverage

Salary/Compensations

• $35.43 - $48.72 CAD per hour
