About the Role

Aday is seeking a Data Scientist to join its dynamic IT department. This role involves contributing to the company's data and NLP/AI strategy by designing and developing necessary approaches, models, and treatments based on scientific methodology. You will join a growing Innovations team of 5 people, including data scientists and data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Explore approaches, implement, and evaluate NLP architectures (state-of-the-art models, transformers, LLMs, etc.) to meet concrete product needs.
• Participate in defining standards for experimentation, data curation, technical documentation, and model governance.
• Design systems adapted to on-premise deployment constraints, including selecting models with an optimized performance/resource balance, quantization, and distillation.
• Implement rigorous evaluation pipelines to quantify robustness, inference cost, and business impact.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to industrialize prototypes (containerization, APIs, versioning, reproducibility).
• Present work to technical and product teams, write research notes, and contribute to external visibility (scientific publications, conference participation).

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, NLP, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Author of publications, reference technical articles, or structured open-source contributions.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, or a CIFRE thesis, with exposure to on-premise deployment constraints.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn, vLLM/Ollama).
• Solid fundamentals in NLP and mastery of transformer architectures and approaches involving LLMs.
• Comfortable with Linux, Git, and reproducibility best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, and collaborate with technical and business profiles.
• Rigor in documenting experiments, ensuring reproducibility, and maintaining scientific standards.
• Intellectual curiosity to follow the state-of-the-art in NLP/AI and explore new approaches.
• Autonomy in advancing open-ended topics, prioritizing work, and reporting results.
