About the Role
O-I is seeking temporary summer help to provide relief and staffing when full-time employees are on vacation. This role involves operating production machinery and ensuring quality control in a glass container manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Sets up ware on lehrs and conveyors
- Dislodges ware on straight line equipment
- Adjusts the flow of empty cartons on conveyors
- Visually inspects ware and discards defective ware
- Understands carton quality requirements and performs checks
- Attends palletizers, supplying pallets and tier sheets
- Operates controls and ensures that tiers are properly formed and transported
- Visually inspects ware and component parts and discards defective ware
- Rotates/transfers among departments as directed
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a 12-hour night shift, as well as holidays and weekends as required
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
- No time off/vacation will be approved for summer help.
- If a summer help employee takes time off their assignment will be terminated and they will not be eligible to work as summer help in the future
