About the Role
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Principal Technology Consultant to work with customer business teams, governance councils, and project management offices to define data organization plans, data strategy, standards, and data management architecture for high profile, strategic, and premium customer accounts.
Responsibilities
- Provide best practice guidance to customers on data governance approach for SAP on-premise and cloud solutions.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including development architects, development managers, and developers across multiple geographies and time zones to ensure timely delivery of technology solutions.
- Articulate complex proposals clearly and liaise effectively with different stakeholder groups to ensure project uniformity and efficiency.
- Gather customer requirements to identify process gaps that satisfy customers’ business and master data needs.
- Provide designs and implement proofs-of-concept to solve complex issues concerning enterprise software such as multi-system landscapes, which could lead to long-term, full-time projects.
- Conduct detailed customer workshops to gather requirements.
- Identify both internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify optimal technology solutions for complex business problems.
- Evaluate and assess SAP customers’ current business solutions and business processes to redesign and optimize existing solution landscapes using SAP’s latest products and industrial packages.
- Perform complex root cause analyses to deliver comprehensive solution support services in complex system and programming environments, without impacting planned go-live dates and customer enterprises.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues in customers’ live SAP systems to support de-escalation activities.
- Provide leadership, assign tasks, and give technical direction to developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
- Designing and architecting integration of SAP MDG application and 3rd party solutions including SFDC, D&B, Open Text, PLM, Vertix, and GTS;
- Implementing SAP solutions using SAP Activate and Agile Methodology;
- Designing and architecting integration solutions for Customer (MDG-C), Supplier (MDG-S), Material (MDG-M), and Finance (MDG-F) with Master data governance principles using SAP MDG data modeling, business rules definition, UI configuration, Workflow governance process, and Data replication framework design;
- Designing and architecting integration processes that utilize SAP MDG SOLEX solutions including Prometheus and ITEGO, with integration to SAP operational ERP systems;
- Data migration methodology and tools including DMC and LSMW data profiling, data cleansing, data mapping, data transformation, and validation;
- Enterprise Data Management best practices and Operational processes across various industries;
- Defining Testing scope and scripts for Unit and System Integration User Acceptance;
- Data, Systems Acquisition, and Divesture procedures;
- Business Process Knowledge for ERP Supply Chain functions including STC, RTR, and R2P;
- Project management and planning, including resources and deliverables.
