About the Role

Join our team as a Payroll Officer, playing a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across Australia and other global regions. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional internal customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery, including salaries, bonuses, superannuation, and terminations
  • Coordinate international payroll (Philippines, US, NZ, UK), preparing inputs and validating outputs from outsourced providers
  • Maintain payroll system integrity and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
  • Prepare payroll reporting including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and statutory reporting obligations
  • Administer salary packaging, support FBT reporting, and ensure all payroll deductions and benefits are correctly processed
  • Provide high-quality support to employees and stakeholders, manage payroll queries, ensure compliance with legislation, and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

Requirements

  • Previous payroll processing experience, with a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with Employment Hero/KeyPay is essential
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Sound understanding of HR and Finance processes
