About the Role
We are seeking a Security Engineer passionate about security and new challenges to join our team. This role involves improving HelloFresh's security posture, responding to security concerns, and developing tools and processes to support colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Improve the application security function at HelloFresh to harden apps and services against abuse and nefarious activity.
- Secure containers, CI/CD pipelines, and implement guardrails for developers aligned with DevSecOps principles.
- Conduct design, RFC, and code reviews.
- Mentor and train developers through the Security Champion program, following a shift-left approach.
- Develop practices and processes for secure scaling through automated workflows.
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in a modern scripting language such as Python or Go.
- 2-3 years of experience in the security domain.
- Decent exposure to Terraform, Docker, container management services, CI/CD, and secrets management in microservices-based architectures.
- Experience in designing and implementing security controls specific to modern development and deployment stacks.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and modern collaboration tools like Jira and Slack.
- Enthusiasm and passion for security and automation.
- A skeptical, data-driven mindset eager to investigate challenges.
