About the Role

To ensure the delivery of accurate and timely underwriting services to the Lectio Client Base, requiring an in-depth awareness of the Lectio Underwriting Parameters and the regulatory responsibilities of a Lloyds’ Coverholder. This role is aligned to the Casualty line of business and requires commitment, awareness, and support of all Lectio GWP growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain thorough knowledge and continued awareness of the Lectio DUA and Underwriting Parameters to understand Lectios’ contractual responsibilities to capacity providers.
  • Support the Senior Underwriter in delivering a high-quality underwriting service on the PFP Casualty book, ensuring first-class turnaround times and professional, proactive communication.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of referral rules relative to the book and professionally and clearly issue referrals to the panel.
  • Proactively monitor utilisation performance relative to the Casualty Line of Business.
  • Proactively support senior underwriters and other Lectio colleagues in fostering a positive and respectful team environment.
  • Understand and support the end-to-end process relative to the Lectio book, including compliance with all processes and taking a proactive role in supporting Assistant UW’s and UW Assistants.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years within the London Insurance Market.
  • Experience and knowledge of a Lloyds’ Coverholder environment.
  • Experience as an Assistant UW within a Coverholder or Underwriting environment.
  • High level proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • PowerPoint experience can be beneficial.
  • Strong, analytical, verbal and written communication skills are valuable.
  • Ability to be self-motivated/disciplined.
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Continued proactive mindset with a desire to learn.
  • Encourage and support team members.
  • Commitment to support other lines of business as and when required by Lectio leaders.
  • Awareness and support of broader Lectio objectives.
  • Demonstrate professional and proactive communication and engagement with key stakeholders.
