About the Role
As an Intern Operations / Due Diligence, you will work with the deal team on ongoing transactions, including building data rooms, reading financial statements, identifying red flags, and managing the entire due diligence process. You will have your own workstreams and direct insight into deal evaluation from day one.
Responsibilities
- Manage the data room, build and maintain Information Request Lists (IRLs), manage the VDR (DataSite / Google Drive), track missing documents, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Review and prepare financial statements of target properties (BWA, revenue, units under management), support purchase price calculations and examples, and document anomalies and red flags.
- Examine property lists, contract portfolios, and ERP/process data; evaluate personnel and capacity requirements (e.g., FTE replacement of previous owners).
- Analyze software stack (e.g., DOMUS), IT costs/allocations, and dependencies; prepare input for calls with IT and management.
- Prepare and document on-site visits and interviews with CEO, Head of Legal, and Head of IT; set up reference calls.
- Maintain DD reports and logbooks, manage linear projects/issues, and create status updates and summaries for deal leads.
- Coordinate NDA/LOI distribution and follow up on internal and external coordination (Adomo / seller side).
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or completed a relevant degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Law, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, from the 3rd/4th semester onwards.
- Proficient in reading financial statements, including P&L / BWA and balance sheets (revenue, EBITDA, working capital, liabilities).
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and clean consolidation of raw data. Modeling of cases is a plus.
- German language proficiency at C1 level or native speaker, as DD documents, contracts, and financial statements are in German.
- Availability for a minimum of 3-6 months of full-time work (mandatory or voluntary internship). Start date and minimum duration should be clearly indicated in the CV.
