About the Role

THE ICONIC is seeking an Entry Category Buyer for their Own Brand team to elevate womenswear categories. This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant or Junior Buyer ready for career advancement and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly trade analysis to identify sales opportunities, market trends, and competitor insights, translating data into actionable steps.
  • Develop commercial strategies to optimize category performance, including net margin value, profitability, stock cover, and sales growth.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align trade plans with seasonal priorities, long-term objectives, and budgeted sales targets.
  • Deliver quarterly SWOT analyses with actionable recommendations to support category growth.
  • Build balanced and commercially relevant ranges across core products and newness, informed by customer insights and trend direction.
  • Collaborate with Design and Planning teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support replenishment strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate costs and terms, and drive performance, quality, and sustainability outcomes.
  • Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to align product assortment with brand messaging, campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the brand, customer persona, and market landscape to inform decisions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
