About the Role
WEHI is seeking a Workday Finance Specialist to support the Finance and Procurement teams within its enterprise system, Workday. This role is crucial for strengthening WEHI's critical capabilities and aligning systems with strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Support the Finance and Procurement teams across the Workday Finance and Adaptive Planning tool suite.
- Collaborate with peer specialists and external partners.
- Engage directly with Finance and Procurement business areas and other WEHI stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice regarding Workday Financial/Adaptive Planning system capability and solution design.
- Perform Level 1 & 2 support, including root cause identification and resolution of system issues.
- Build test plans, execute tests on updates/changes to Workday Financial/Adaptive Planning, and provide feedback to third-party developers.
- Deliver practical solutions through business process analysis.
- Create and maintain process maps, user guides, and training materials.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience (minimum 3+ years) in finance, systems accounting, procurement, or a similar field.
- Intermediate Workday Financial application knowledge.
- Intermediate Workday Adaptive Planning application knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or implementing enterprise finance systems.
- Level 1 & 2 support experience, including root cause identification/resolution of system issues within defined timelines.
- Experience using ticket management systems (e.g., Fresh Service, JIRA Service Management).
- Intermediate level testing skills.
- Working knowledge of finance processes (e.g., general ledger, projects, expenses, budgeting and forecasting) and their integration with related systems such as HCM and Payroll.
- Strong capability in business process analysis.
- Intermediate documentation capability.
- Experience using knowledge management tools (e.g., wikis, Confluence).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Salary/Compensations
- $108,119 - $117,039
