About the Role

As a Senior Business Project Manager, you will lead multi-year, high-profile enterprise transformation initiatives within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). You will play a critical role in delivering strategic projects that shape the future of GreenShield, involving digital product launches, operational changes, regulatory programs, and process redesigns. You will lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and ensure outcomes align with GreenShield’s corporate strategy and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key leader, partnering with programme managers, project sponsors, stakeholders, change management and IT project managers to define scope, develop implementation plans, and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Build and foster strong, collaborative relationships across business units to drive alignment and project success.
  • Facilitate problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams to proactively identify challenges, explore solutions, and achieve consensus on action plans that support business priorities.
  • Lead ongoing project status updates with workstream leads and Steering Committee meetings with executive level leadership teams.
  • Take ownership of delivering business-facing project outcomes, including ROI, process implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with IT and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of technology and business processes.
  • Develop and oversee metrics to track progress, ensuring deliverables meet objectives set at project inception.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks to maintain momentum and ensure successful execution.
  • Create and manage KPIs, dashboards, and executive-level presentations to provide transparent updates on project progress.
  • Create and manage all project artifacts (including the project plan, RAID log, Decision log, RACI chart, etc.).
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date for optimal transparency and accountability.
  • Coach business resources and other project managers on processes, tools, and responsibilities to enhance delivery capabilities across the organization.
  • Promote the EPMO’s role by sharing knowledge of projects in flight and best practices in project management.
  • Travel to Windsor/Toronto quarterly, as needed, to meet with team members and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, delivering complex, high-profile projects, ideally in the insurance, group benefits, or benefits administration industries.
  • Background in corporate strategy, business transformation, or consulting.
  • Proficiency in English is required for this position.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues or customers who use English as their primary language.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and engage team members effectively.
  • Proficient in project management tools and advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to create and deliver high-impact presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, turning complex project data into actionable insights.
  • Strong business acumen, understanding of business strategy, change management frameworks, financial principles, and operational transformation.
  • Multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile-related certifications (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Certified ScrumMaster) are a nice to have.
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) is a nice to have.
