About the Role
SB Energy is seeking a Scheduler to analyze CPM schedules, develop what-if scenarios, generate integrated master schedules, and provide executive and project reports. This role involves data analytics and contributing to the company's mission of providing reliable, affordable energy at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules for data center construction, including baseline, milestone, look-ahead, and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align project schedules with company objectives for safety, delivery, performance, quality, cost, and execution.
- Maintain documented schedule files for a clear audit trail of baselines, updates, forecasts, approvals, delays, changes, and revisions.
- Monitor project progress, critical path activities, milestones, commitments, and forecasts against approved schedules.
- Analyze schedule variances, delays, and risks, providing recommendations for recovery planning.
- Support project management with contracting by reviewing contractor schedules and validating sequencing.
- Review and validate schedule impacts from change orders.
- Prepare and present schedule reports, dashboards, progress updates, and critical path analysis to stakeholders and leadership.
- Implement and maintain scheduling processes, tools, reporting standards, and project controls procedures.
- Ensure compliance with project controls procedures, contract schedule requirements, and reporting standards.
- Communicate schedule insights, risks, delays, and recovery strategies to senior executives.
- Conduct business dealings with integrity, considering financial, legal, contractual, and environmental factors.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making in complex situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in scheduling, project controls, planning, or construction management in an EPC or utility-scale construction environment.
- Strong experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing construction schedules.
- Experience with CPM scheduling, baseline development, progress updates, critical path analysis, and schedule forecasting.
- Experience with change management, delay analysis, contractor schedule review, and project reporting.
- Experience working in an engineered systems / project-based business model.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls principles, and schedule management practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools preferred.
- Experience in data center construction is preferred but not required.
- Engineering, construction management, or project controls background is a plus.
