About the Role
The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team partners with Advisory and Markets teams to advise public and private companies on equity financings. The role's objective is to act as a strategic advisor, facilitating equity capital formation for clients.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients on financing transactions and guide them through the capital raising process.
- Lead due diligence and drafting sessions.
- Prepare clients for equity or debt offerings.
- Manage and mentor junior staff by providing detailed guidance and feedback.
- Work with clients, senior-level team members, and outside professional advisors on ECM and M&A transactions.
- Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, and investor and management presentations.
- Oversee work performed by analysts & associates assigned to projects.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to Policy and apply sound ethical judgment.
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 6-10 years' relevant work experience within ECM, corporate advisory, markets, or a related area.
- Comprehensive knowledge of equity capital markets deal structures.
- Track record of ASX deal execution.
- Strong corporate finance skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong business communications skills (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional multi-tasking and time management ability.
- Exceptional teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders in other lines of business.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, resilient, and able to work independently with attention to detail and personal integrity.
- Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential / sensitive information.
