About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Procurement & Sourcing Lead for a 12-month maternity leave cover contract. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality procurement outcomes, with a specific focus on sourcing and onboarding Local Contractors for maintenance services.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement and sourcing to meet client deliverables of Local Trades Contractors.
  • Plan, procure, prepare contracts, and manage registration and onboarding of Local Contractors.
  • Source and engage Local Contractors using client-supplied and approved templates.
  • Meet and exceed project delivery targets for timeframes and quality.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Research and analyze service categories to support sourcing of local contractors.
  • Develop and execute the Procurement Plan.
  • Manage Local Contractors at a contract level.
  • Ensure all procurement and contract management activities promote and facilitate Local Community Objectives.
  • Meet targets set out in the Approved Aboriginal, SME and Local Participation Plan and the Workforce Skills and Opportunities Plan.
  • Ensure Local Contractors meet their contractual targets in relation to Aboriginal, SME and Local Participation and workforce skills development commitments.
  • Develop and manage client relationships for effective understanding and leverage of client requirements.
  • Respond to client requests effectively, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Provide a high-quality service to the client.
  • Support, develop, and build Local Contractor relationships.
  • Perform analysis of service categories under contract (spend, market trends, benchmarks, supplier market analysis).
  • Understand cost components and drivers, and total cost of ownership.
  • Improve service levels based on analysis and manage the delivery of commitments.
  • Investigate and develop supply sources.
  • Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate strategies.
  • Engage with C&W staff and client stakeholders to understand account strategy and operations.
  • Provide information and advice on market conditions and procurement.
  • Prepare Procurement Strategy and Evaluation Plans for approval.
  • Investigate and develop supply sources, submit for inclusion on the approved tender list, and maintain communication with Suppliers.
  • Conduct procurement process to meet agreed objectives, deadlines, probity, and guidelines.
  • Prepare Procurement Strategy and Tender Evaluation Plan for client approval.
  • Conduct analysis and prepare Tender Evaluation Reports and Recommendations.
  • Appraise prices and conduct a commercial evaluation, advising unsuccessful bidders of results.
  • Ensure appropriate contracts are put in place.
  • Manage implementation process for new contracts.
  • Provide debrief for suppliers upon request.
  • Advise agreed stakeholders of any complaints and assist in solutioning and engagement with suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier/service provider reviews to monitor performance.
  • Ensure suppliers are treated ethically, fairly, and with respect.
  • Develop co-operative and mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
  • Adhere to all C&W and client policies and procedures.
  • Comply with State and Commonwealth statutory and regulatory legislation.
  • Maintain probity compliance at all times.
  • Ensure client reporting requirements are understood and met.
  • Articulate and live the Cushman & Wakefield culture and organizational values.
  • Comply with all Cushman & Wakefield systems for health and safety obligations.
  • Work safely and avoid placing yourself or others at risk.
  • Comply with Cushman & Wakefield Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate in a manner that minimizes adverse environmental impacts.
  • Actively participate within a community of practice group, sharing information and strategies.
  • Understand the Cushman & Wakefield brand and expertise to provide a full-service offer.
  • Regularly engage with the Cushman & Wakefield CRE team to leverage their knowledge.
  • Comply with Cushman & Wakefield delegations policy.

Requirements

  • Five years of services procurement related experience.
  • Proven track record in the delivery of high-quality procurement advice and sourcing events at a granular level in an operational environment.
  • Collaborative approach with ability to develop and manage effective, mutually beneficial business relationships with small to medium enterprises.
  • Operational mindset – must consider that everything must be operationalised and able to be delivered and managed without additional cost, complexity or resourcing other than that captured in the business case or strategy document.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract law.
  • High levels of initiative with the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous sourcing projects and varied demands on time.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Proven track record in the delivery of high-quality research and data analysis for procurement.
  • Proven ability to support source-to-contract initiatives including participation in face-to-face negotiations and drive discussions to meet desired outcomes.
  • Strong ability to influence, manage key stakeholder expectations and clearly express ideas, concepts and models.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Superior problem-solving ability to identify and deliver solutions.
  • Active “hands on” approach with a “can do” attitude.
  • Effective team work skills based on a collaborative approach.
