About the Role

As the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will deliver strategic and operational HR leadership to designated business units. You will serve as the primary HR partner to the Product organization and own senior executive (C-suite) relationships within the Finance organization, ensuring cohesive, end-to-end HR support. This role is key in aligning people strategies with business priorities, strengthening organizational effectiveness, and enabling a high-performance, growth-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Product organization, supporting leaders across day-to-day and strategic HR priorities while delivering integrated solutions.
  • Own and manage senior executive (C-suite) HR relationships within the Finance organization, providing trusted counsel, proactive insights, and seamless HR support.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality HR partnership across the broader Finance team, driving alignment, continuity, and enterprise consistency in people practices.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with Product and Finance leaders, developing a deep understanding of business strategies, challenges, and talent priorities.
  • Partner with leaders on employee relations matters, providing thoughtful analysis, risk assessment, and execution support.
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and implementation of HR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while meeting business-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with Product leaders and the Director, HR to contribute to HR strategies that support business objectives and enterprise priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Finance executives, translating business strategy into actionable people plans and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning discussions, providing insight and recommendations.
  • Support performance management processes across the Product and Finance organizations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Moneris frameworks.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to help identify skill gaps and contribute to development strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and retention efforts within the Product and Finance organization.
  • Support ongoing organizational change initiatives within dynamic, evolving operating models which could include restructuring, mergers/acquisitions and cultural transformation.
  • Coach leaders on effective change leadership practices.
  • Analyze and interpret HR data to provide insights that inform leadership decisions and workforce strategies.
  • Participate in Moneris’ Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Program, supporting people‑related planning, preparedness, and response activities.
  • Actively contribute to the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) as the HR representative, supporting workplace health, safety, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting fast-paced, matrixed or product-led environments.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution for formal education.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS Systems (previous experience with Workday is considered an asset).
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards legislation across Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights to support strategic decision making.
