About the Role
Develops and implements an EH&S management system, including risk assessments, safety tours, hazard identification, and accident/incident investigation and reporting. Identifies and implements metrics for assigned facilities, provides advice on safe systems of work, and influences leadership to achieve business certification aspirations.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements an EH&S management system
- Identifies and implements metrics for assigned facility(ies)
- Provides advice on maintenance and improvement of safe systems of work
- Influences site leadership to achieve business certification aspirations (e.g., ISO 14001, 45001)
- Prepares and analyzes monthly EH&S reports for leadership
- Engages and motivates site leadership and employees through EH&S events, communications, safety walls, town hall meetings, regular safety notices, and toolbox talks
- Manages EH&S training program
- Delivers on EHS objectives, targets, and challenges progress of associated program plans aligned to the business safety strategy
- Oversees compliance of EH&S regulatory requirements
- Liaises with relevant authorities
- Provides expert advice to leadership
Requirements
- Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field
- Related experience in risk and hazard identification and analysis
- Experience in audits, safety inspections and accident investigation
- Experience as a people leader
- May be required to maintain security clearance
- Requires SC Clearance
- Must undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance
- Generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years (exceptions may apply)
- Requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS)
- May require further national security vetting checks
- Will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years
- Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided
