About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to join our Sport team on a fixed-term contract. This role involves leading editorial strategy, overseeing content creation, and managing a team for a motorsport client across multiple social channels.
Responsibilities
- Own regular dialogue with the client team to deliver strategic objectives and communicate the state of play.
- Build strong, positive, and collaborative client relationships.
- Deliver the execution of the social media strategy in line with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the planning and maintenance of weekly and monthly content calendars across multiple channels and accounts.
- Line manage the Social Media Exec and manage a designer to create compelling visuals.
- Work closely with the Partnerships Director and Senior Content Strategist to ensure wider strategic objectives are met.
- Manage upwards successfully to ensure any issues are communicated and resolved quickly.
- Ensure continual and responsible best-practice in content ideation, creation, and publication across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and Snap.
- Oversee projects, workflow, and deadlines, ensuring consistent high-quality work.
- Oversee community management across all channels.
- Develop and maintain brand tone of voice and visual identity.
- Confidently guide the client and the wider team through the implementation of strategic recommendations.
- Monitor content performance using platform analytics and collaborate with the analyst team for insights.
- Utilize insights to drive improvements and growth.
- Create regular in-depth insights reports and present them to the client.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of, and passion for, motorsport is crucial.
- Exceptional knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snap) and publishing content.
- Excellent understanding of platform analytics and reporting.
- A strong track record of developing and building positive relationships.
- Basic video editing and graphic design skills are beneficial.
- Knowledge of working in Asana or similar project management tools is a benefit.
- Ability to plan content output across multiple territories and timezones.
- Experience managing a team of social producers, editors, designers, and community managers.
- Experience working seamlessly with the client’s in-house team.
- Experience managing a team of direct reports to mentor and set them up for success.
- Attendance at the client’s offices outside of London is required.
- Some weekend and out-of-hours work will be needed.
