About the Role

The Vice President, Client Finance serves as a strategic finance partner to leadership across two verticals within Orchestra. This role is responsible for financial oversight, operational rigor, and performance optimization—ensuring accurate reporting, disciplined forecasting and actionable insights that drive profitability and support business growth. The position manages one Financial Analyst and reports to the EVP, Client Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close for one of our verticals, including revenue recognition, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems and reporting outputs
  • Reconcile quarterly pre-billing and WIP balances
  • Own and review client-level forecasts, leveraging Power BI and internal reporting tools
  • Partner with vertical leadership to align financial plans with business objectives
  • Identify risks, opportunities and trends; proactively recommend mitigation strategies
  • Act as a key advisor to vertical leadership on financial performance, client profitability and resource allocation
  • Provide data-driven insights on over-servicing, pricing and margin improvement opportunities
  • Support new business proposals, staffing models and capacity planning in conjunction with Pricing Desk and Resource management
  • Monitor and analyze client profitability, including managed revenue, utilization and over-servicing
  • Partner with account leadership on renewals by providing insights to optimize pricing and retainers, highlighting performance against contractual and financial expectations
  • Generate mid-level manager reporting, including revenue, utilization, over-servicing metrics, pending contracts and AR
  • Maintain data accuracy across NetSuite, HubSpot, Replicon and other systems
  • Review AR performance across managed verticals, including aging, collections and risk mitigation
  • Partner with AR team to escalate and resolve issues
  • Manage and develop a Financial Analyst, including coaching, performance management and career development
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable team environment
  • Lead or support special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve financial visibility

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in finance
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of financial systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel
  • Deep understanding of financial accounting, P&L, balance sheet management and revenue recognition methodologies
  • Strong financial analysis and planning skills and demonstrated strong business acumen
  • Ability to effectively manage workloads, prioritize and streamline tasks and multiple deadlines to ensure accuracy
  • Self-starter who is equal parts doer and teacher
  • Ability to get to the root cause of an issue, problem solve for the long term while working with or creating off-the-cuff solutions
  • Demonstrated staff management experience and leadership skills, ideally within a high-growth and dynamic organization
  • Consulting and client service-oriented mindset with the ability to foster positive working relationships both externally and internally
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing their expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
