About the Role
Heartflow is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Developer to create advanced web applications that revolutionize healthcare. This role involves shaping web-based solutions, driving technical vision, and mentoring engineers to improve heart health worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Independent, end-to-end ownership of the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robust customer-facing interactive web applications.
- Make data-driven decisions while practicing creative problem solving.
- Mentor and guide other engineers within the team, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
- Work closely with API teams, Product, QA, and UI/UX to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality of web applications.
- Implement and maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and user experience.
- Build for scalability, observability, and security.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations for medical software, including documentation, quality assurance processes, and adherence to regulatory standards in web application development.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field + 8 years of experience; OR MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field + 6 years; OR equivalent practical experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and other web technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in building and deploying large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
- Experience contributing to technical vision and translating strategy into design; ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- Proven track record of successful collaboration with product management and design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
- Strong understanding of web security best practices.
- Experience with DevOps best practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience with or willingness to learn about FDA regulations and compliance requirements for medical software.
