Lone Star Circle of Care is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing high-quality health care to patients in Central Texas. Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy both in person and virtually.
  • Utilize initial interview and screenings to provide diagnoses and care planning.
  • Collaborate with patients, and effectively communicate clinical impressions, while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
  • Interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety, including whether a patient needs a higher level of care.
  • Efficiently document using an electronic health record and conduct telemedicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Passionate about working with the underserved population and those who may be experiencing significant barriers to care.
  • Desire to grow a practice where you decide the best therapeutic modalities for your patient and work with them on achieving their therapeutic goals in an outpatient setting.
  • Comfortable providing individual therapy both in person and virtually.
  • Mission focused and passionate about improving access to quality mental healthcare.
  • Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR.
  • Possesses computer/technology skills.
