About the Role
We are seeking skilled Journeypersons with a background in heavy commercial, institutional, and industrial markets to install, maintain, and service advanced commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Journeypersons must be proficient craftspeople within their trade, with at least ten (10) years of practical experience in HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, or mechanical contracting.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation and replacement services on advanced commercial heating and cooling systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and air handling units.
- Ensure the implementation of high-quality standards through customer-focused problem solving and continuous improvement in processes and techniques to streamline and remove obstacles for our clients.
- Utilize provided top-of-the-line tools and technology to achieve exceptional outcomes while maintaining safety and integrity in all operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a culture of trust and diverse perspectives to ensure unified and efficient project execution.
Requirements
- Mechanical Journeyperson status, member of UA Local 787.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC installation and troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license and certifications for refrigerants, boiler, and steam operation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability for on-call duties during nights and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
