About the Role

The AI Team at Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Data Scientist to develop end-to-end models and solutions that optimize sales and marketing efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement traditional machine learning and innovative LLM approaches to drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning models and applications on cloud platforms like Azure Databricks and AKS.
• Deploy LLM and Generative AI solutions using RAG, Azure AI Search, and other techniques.
• Design ML models for distribution and marketing efficiencies, including recommendation systems and content generation.
• Monitor and improve model performance through data analysis and testing.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to plan, scope, and sustain predictive analytics solutions.
• Stay current with AI advancements and evaluate their application to internal processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in AI/Data Science, or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud tools including Databricks, AI Foundry, AI Search, and Kubernetes.
• Strong background in Python and SQL for data analysis and orchestration.
• Experience applying analytics and AI tools in Marketing and Sales functions.
• Strong business insight and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
