About the Role

As a Runner at Soho House, you will be responsible for preparing tables, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and servers. Your goal is to provide members and guests with outstanding customer service and enhance their dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tables, serve orders, and explain meals.
  • Facilitate collaboration between kitchen and servers.
  • Assist servers in providing hand-plated service to guests.
  • Refill water glasses and coffee cups.
  • Clear finished dishes, crumb tables, and replenish table supplies.
  • Expedite food orders.
  • Accommodate special requests from guests or provide alternative solutions.
  • Ensure seamless service by thinking quickly, managing guest needs, and supporting servers, the Executive Chef, and General Manager.
  • Ensure food orders are plated correctly before serving.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, including allergy procedures.
  • Follow all Company processes, procedures, standards, and applicable laws.
  • Work as a team to serve food and drink items in a timely manner.
  • Support the team by running items from the expo and service bar outside of your section.
  • Clean and stock the server alley and expo area.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the menu and make suggestions when asked.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and problem-solve effectively under pressure.
  • Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, and autonomously.
  • Tips certified and possess POS knowledge.
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
