About the Role

The Fuel Technician will maintain and repair car wash equipment, including installing, maintaining, and repairing gasoline and related equipment systems, environmental monitoring systems, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains fueling equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning and maintaining gasoline related equipment; provides preventive maintenance.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and may include dispenser calibration.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Will be required to participate in training for existing and new equipment.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Increases professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company plan guidelines.
  • Ensures preventative repairs are performed cost effectively by examining records, reports operating practices and other documentation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance field or more preferred.
  • Skilled with hand/power tools and measurement instruments.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to use hand/electric cart.
  • Able to use power and hand tools.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in high priority, confidential, demanding business environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and must be insurable as a driver.
  • English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be computer literate in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Physical Demands: Sit up to 10 hours; kneel, crouch, crawl, climb. Sit for long periods of time. Operate computer keyboard and mouse for data entry. View computer monitor. Hear and speak via telephone. Reach forward and/or overhead Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds Must have the manual dexterity to operate equipment Work in confined spaces Required crouching and/or crawling Able to use a ladder.
  • Work Environment: High noise levels and mixed lighting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at a normal range. The lighting will include natural light from the outside as well as fluorescent lighting throughout the work areas. Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
  • Majority of time will be spent in the field.
  • May require some travel including overnight stay.
