About the Role
CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an Occupancy Specialist for Mariner Tower Apartments in Buffalo, NY. This role is responsible for processing and overseeing the operational aspects of the assigned property.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain property and resident certifications, re-certifications, vouchers, and verifications.
- Monitor monthly rental payments.
- Maintain monthly lease renewals and prepare necessary documentation.
- Conduct interim and annual re-classifications or lease renewal signings according to policies and procedures.
- Review rental applications and make resident decisions in accordance with Resident Selection Plan, Rental Criteria, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Handle and monitor all EIV monthly reports, EIV for re-certifications, and criminal and background checks for EIV.
- Prepare 236 Excess Income accounts and reconcile security deposit/withdrawal accounts.
- Perform MINC's submissions and approvals.
Requirements
- Must have 1-3 years' experience in the HUD/LIHTC/RD/Affordable Housing field.
- Requires good rental leasing and financial bookkeeping skills.
- Requires good communication skills, a confident and positive attitude.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Programs and On-Site Rental System.
- Must be able to pass a 3-year background check.
- Pre-employment drug testing is conducted.
