About the Role

The Communications Associate will bring the PKS story to life through compelling storytelling, visual media, and digital content creation to support admissions, advancement, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute the school's weekly newsletter
  • Develop and manage an integrated editorial calendar
  • Coordinate school-wide announcements, crisis communications, and other time-sensitive messaging
  • Manage PKS's social media presence across all official platforms
  • Create engaging platform-specific content and leverage emerging trends and best practices in social media and digital storytelling
  • Help manage and maintain the website, ensuring information is current, engaging, and aligned with school priorities and brand standards
  • Monitor and analyze website, email, and social media performance metrics and provide recommendations to strengthen engagement and reach
  • Update parent portal as needed
  • Organize and maintain the school's digital assets
  • Support the planning, design, production, and distribution of school publications and collateral materials, including admissions and fundraising materials, event programs and invitations, brochures, flyers, posters, and other promotional pieces

Requirements

  • At least two years of relevant experience
  • Ability to support occasional evening and weekend events
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon clear LiveScan fingerprinting and TB risk assessment
  • Completing first aid/CPR training, mandated reporter training, anti-harassment training, and Workplace Violence Prevention training

  • Bilingual and biliterate in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable, but not required

Salary/Compensations

  • $38.00-$45.00 per hour
