About the Role

MaintainX is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead a team of product designers in creating intuitive, AI-powered workflows for maintenance technicians and operations managers. You will set creative direction, mentor designers, and partner with Product and Engineering to shape product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own design quality across web and mobile product areas
• Guide designers through ambiguity and ensure work meets high standards
• Lead and grow a team of 4-6 product designers
• Conduct 1:1s, provide feedback, and manage performance and hiring
• Translate product strategy into focused design execution
• Set a clear, directional vision for the team
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to align priorities
• Contribute to design critiques and the design system
• Lead the team in adopting AI tools to accelerate design workflows

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms
• 1–3 years of experience managing product designers
• Proven ability to ship complex, multi-surface work
• Strong product thinking and craft judgment
• Ability to connect design work to business strategy
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and create clarity for teams
