About the Role
This hybrid role serves as the crucial link between the Hardware Team and the Onsite Operations Team, ensuring cohesion between hardware support and system operations. You will lead kit management and deployment at international tennis events, refining build-out processes for a more streamlined operation.
Responsibilities
- Identify operational hardware failure trends, gather analytical information, investigate, and propose alternative solutions, configurations, and working practices.
- Implement strategies to improve efficiencies across existing processes and procedures, including hardware system reliability.
- Support year-round kit health and proactively manage kit for each event with kit managers.
- Advise project managers/staff on stock availability and suggest solutions.
- Liaise with the Procurement and Stock Team to forecast new hardware and stock requirements.
- Communicate with the core hardware team and procurement team to ensure adherence to correct standards.
- Take a lead role in the implementation and maintenance of the crosscheck asset management system.
- Manage the kit quirks process, coordinating with the hardware team to schedule quirk requests.
- Identify weaknesses in current systems/hardware and collaborate with relevant areas for improvement.
- Create and provide training for the department to enhance hardware knowledge.
- Monitor and operate the ball-tracking system and broadcast analysis during games.
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proactive, diligent, and organized.
- Efficient with time, able to prioritize and be self-sufficient.
- Demonstrated history of working with computer and camera hardware.
- Organized approach to resolving technical issues and supplying clear solutions, including replacement equipment, within available timescales.
- Experience in introducing and executing new processes across a team.
- Track record of creating and delivering training.
- Understanding of hardware processes including RMA, Procurement, Crosscheck, and Quirks.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with operations, core hardware, and wider business teams.
