About the Role
New York Bus Sales is seeking a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections and modifications on all types of buses to meet customer and DOT specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-delivery inspections on all types of buses.
- Modify non-compliant buses to meet customer and DOT specifications.
- Understand DOT requirements for school and commercial buses.
- Read and understand PDI work orders.
- Modify buses to meet DOT and customer specifications regarding seat placement, air systems, chassis, and body.
- Maintain a professional relationship with DOT inspectors.
- Follow prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.
Requirements
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles.
- Read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets.
