About the Role

As a Software Developer Intern on a Unified Platform team, you will work closely with internal users to develop innovative systems for research and trading, experimenting with emerging technologies to process data at scale and derive human-understandable insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools to enable the business to rapidly embrace new opportunities in global markets.
• Partner closely with internal customers to understand their needs and build intuitive self-service tools.
• Develop software for large scale data acquisition, storage, accessibility, and visualization.
• Work with a team to maintain and extend our global markets reach.
• Learn about market microstructure, financial instruments, and markets in which DRW participates or wants to participate in.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline.
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP), multi‐threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real‐time programming or GUI programming.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong experience with Java, Python or any modern programming language.
