About the Role
Moonfare is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Associate to join their high-performing Investments team in Berlin. This role involves collaborating with leading private equity managers, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting new product launches, offering hands-on exposure to diverse private equity strategies and impactful responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data and models in Excel to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of the private markets through exposure to multiple strategies, including Buyout, Growth, Venture Capital, Secondaries, Infrastructure, and Private Debt.
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports for primary fund investments, co-investments, and secondary transactions.
- Drive strategic initiatives, including the launch of new products and cross-functional projects.
- Monitor and report on fundraising performance, contributing to achieving target fundraise goals.
- Design and refine presentations in PowerPoint to summarise findings and recommendations.
- Cross collaborate internally to ensure seamless execution and commercialisation of investment opportunities.
- Contextualise data and insights from multiple sources to provide clear, actionable conclusions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years relevant financial services experience in areas such as investment banking, transaction services, private markets, consulting firms, or a start-up.
- Proven technical and analytical skills, with experience conducting financial valuation analysis.
- High proficiency in Excel, including financial and valuation modeling.
- Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Refined research skills and commitment to finding the most accurate data available.
- Highly collaborative and understands the value in sharing information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Natural at building relationships and has the ability to listen and persuade.
- Proactive approach and takes ownership of their work.
- Eligible to live and work in Berlin.
