About the Role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Valuations team in London. The role involves preparing a wide range of valuations for accounting, tax, and commercial purposes, offering exposure to diverse clients, sectors, and projects within a small team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent client service and prioritize customer experience.
  • Manage client relationships effectively.
  • Ensure efficient, high-quality, proactive, and timely execution of advice and services.
  • Establish and communicate work scopes.
  • Plan and prepare budgets.
  • Perform and supervise technical work and projects.
  • Write and review reports.
  • Build valuation models.
  • Research industry trends, comparable companies, and acquisitions.
  • Promote and build the group's reputation internally and externally.
  • Contribute to business strategy to ensure client-first and commercially viable decisions.
  • Assist Head of Department with PR for your field of expertise.
  • Promote cross-selling within the group.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with clients and potential clients.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, compliance manual, and operating procedures.
  • Maintain personal technical competence.
  • Report complaints and potential PI issues in line with group procedures.
  • Monitor and manage chargeable hours, utilization, recoveries, WIP, billing, and lock-up.
  • Monitor and manage time recording and ensure prompt submission of timesheets.
  • Hold regular financial performance reviews with direct reports.
  • Inform Head of Department of WIP, bad debt provisions, or other material financial issues.
  • Act as an effective leader.
  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities of direct reports.
  • Conduct annual development reviews (ADRs) for direct reports.
  • Act as a mentor and help develop talent.
  • Maintain and develop technical and professional competence for yourself and your team.
  • Develop strong management and leadership skills in direct reports.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of valuation methodologies and modelling.
  • History of providing valuations in a range of sectors and for various purposes (accounting, tax, commercial).
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of key valuation methodologies and best practice in modelling.
  • High competency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for creating valuation models and reports.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development with a proven track record of winning new clients and developing commercial relationships.
  • Ability to generate contacts within the industry and willingness to develop such contacts.
