About the Role
Join our Fulfilment team as a Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript, NestJS/Node.js) to build and enhance backend systems for cashback, transaction handling, and reward processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating stable, scalable systems that directly impact the customer experience, ensuring clarity and trust in the cashback journey.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend services supporting cashback, redemption, and fulfilment flows.
- Develop scalable APIs and services using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate fulfilment needs into technical solutions.
- Integrate and maintain partner APIs and third-party systems.
- Enhance performance, observability, testing, and documentation across services.
- Guide technical decisions, contribute to code reviews, and mentor team members.
Requirements
- Backend engineering experience in scalable product environments, ideally with exposure to cashback, rewards, payments, or fulfilment systems.
- 6+ years of experience in software development with strong backend engineering skills.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, REST APIs, and service-oriented or microservice architectures.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) including databases, queues, event-driven systems, or distributed services.
- Understanding of common backend architecture patterns for scalable, maintainable, and reliable systems.
- Commitment to clean code, automated testing, documentation, observability, and long-term maintainability.
- Structured approach to problem-solving, balancing technical quality with business priorities.
- Clear communication skills in English and enjoyment of collaborative, cross-functional environments.
