About the Role

As the HR Lead, you will own the full people operations function, including onboarding, career development, performance, compliance, and culture. Your mandate is to ensure Vendelux is a company people want to stay at, working directly with leadership on strategic initiatives while serving as a trusted day-to-day resource for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience.
  • Build and manage performance review cycles, feedback frameworks, and career development programs.
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations, coaching managers, mediating conflict, and handling sensitive matters.
  • Administer and continuously improve compensation, benefits, and equity programs, including leading benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, org design, and headcount decisions.
  • Track and report on people metrics, surfacing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Own the HRIS and people tech stack, evaluating and implementing new tooling.
  • Manage offboarding processes, conduct exit interviews, and translate findings into retention improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in an HR Generalist or HRBP role.
  • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or tech startup.
  • Early or solo HR hire experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple states (NY required).
  • Proven ability to build HR programs and policies from scratch.
  • Excellent judgment in sensitive employee relations situations.
  • Data-fluent: comfortable tracking people metrics and presenting insights clearly to leadership.
  • Exceptional communicator: able to write clear policy, facilitate hard conversations, and influence at the C-suite level.
  • High-ownership mindset: takes initiative on both strategic and administrative tasks.
