About the Role

Deutsche Bank Technology is a global team of technology specialists focused on promoting technical excellence and financial services innovation. Our Berlin tech centre is growing strongly, committed to building a diverse workforce and creating excellent opportunities for talented engineers. The Shared Applications and Services organization, established in 2023, aims to organize shared assets like Workflow Platforms, Document Systems, and Process Automations. The Workflow Tribe is a core domain within SAS, responsible for scalable, secure, and consumable workflow solutions, operating under an agile model with Squads and Centers of Expertise (CoEs).

Responsibilities

  • Develop new technology applications in partnership with Business, Architecture, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Produce well-crafted software that steadily adds value and can be easily adapted to changing customer needs.
  • Shape the future of our technology stack and apply it innovatively to solve complex problems.
  • Lead by example in both software design and programming practice.

Requirements

  • Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify context.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with core technology stack: Java, Kotlin, Python, Elasticsearch, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, Kafka, Camunda (or similar engine).
  • Excellent practice of Java coding standards and patterns.
  • Good understanding of security protocols (SSL, TLS, certificates handling etc).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools: Jira, Git, Maven, Teamcity, Jenkins, Artifactory and other continuous integration tools.
  • Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) fundamentals, including core services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking concepts, and best practices for cloud security and cost optimization.
