About the Role
This role involves working with leading financial institutions, providing legal support on regulatory inquiries, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure effective legal risk management and adherence to standards.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate investment management agreements and related fund documentation across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on private funds in the UK and Middle East region.
- Provide legal support on regulatory inquiries affecting private fund structures and deliver clear, practical guidance to internal teams.
- Support lawyers responsible for private fund products, ensuring consistent and compliant advice across fund structures, strategies, and distribution channels.
- Manage and instruct external counsel, including reviewing and summarising legal and regulatory advice relating to private equity, private credit, and other alternative investment strategies for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to contribute to effective legal risk management, fund governance, and adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Law degree with compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in a law firm or in-house role within financial services, ideally with exposure to private equity, private credit, real assets, or other alternative investment funds.
- Strong experience drafting and reviewing private fund documentation and commercial agreements, including preparing clear summaries and analyses for internal audiences.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced private funds environment.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
