About the Role

Axiom is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience for a part-time role (three days per week) with a boutique litigation firm. The role involves managing commercial disputes and litigation matters, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and director and fiduciary duty claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with commercial litigation matters from commencement to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, submissions, correspondence, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare client advice.
• Manage discovery, evidence gathering, and interlocutory processes.
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and hearings.
• Appear in court and attend procedural hearings as appropriate.
• Liaise directly with clients, counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with settlement negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain strong file management and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• 3–6 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
• Strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Experience managing litigation files with appropriate supervision.
• Familiarity with NSW and Federal Court procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small team.
